Job summary

Akron Children's Respiratory Therapy department is seeking a dedicated professional to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct respiratory care for premature, pediatric, and adult patients. The role focuses on airway management and critical care within pediatric and neonatal settings, including intra-hospital transport and ICU environments.

You will contribute to education of staff, patients, and families, with potential cross-site assignments to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Respiratory Care.
• NBRC-Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required.
• OH Respiratory Care Professional license required.
• BLS required; NRP, PALS, ACLS, and STABLE within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and directs care for premature, pediatric, and adult patients.
• Assess airway needs of critically ill neonates, children, and adults in intra-hospital transport, ICU, and general care.
• Provide care addressing physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of patients across ages.
• Participate in educating ACH staff, patients, and parents.
• Staff assignment may shift across ACH enterprise based on patient needs.
