Christian Hospital's Respiratory Care Team in St. Louis is seeking a dedicated respiratory therapist to provide direct patient care and lead in respiratory therapy procedures.

You’ll assess, diagnose, plan and evaluate patient needs while working within established hospital guidelines and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include patient education, collaboration with the care team, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Direct patient care in respiratory therapy including assessment, planning and evaluation.
• Requires independent use of advanced respiratory knowledge and skills.
• Ensures patient safety per quality and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and document care.
• Provide education and training on respiratory treatments to patients, families and staff.
• Demonstrate time management and prioritize multiple duties.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures per standards and policies.
• Support advanced clinical roles including ECMO, mechanical ventilation, sleep lab and related areas when needed.
