Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• NBRC Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Current, active State of Ohio Respiratory Therapist License.
• BLS certified; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required.
• NRP certification completed.
• 3+ years of experience in cardiopulmonary services preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and documentation skills.
• Physical stamina for an active clinical environment (walking, bending, lifting up to ~50 lbs).
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.

Responsabilités

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments across all patient age groups (pediatric to geriatric).
• Set up, manage, and monitor mechanical ventilators and airway management.
• Perform emergency intubation and airway management for patients of all ages.
• Maintain knowledge of oxygen delivery methods and equipment; monitor side effects.
• Perform arterial punctures for blood gas analysis and related care.
• Perform EKGs and transmit reports to physicians per protocol.
• Inspect, test, and operate respiratory therapy equipment for proper function.
• Assess patient status and response; adjust care plans accordingly.
• Document data in the PCN after services.
• Develop teaching plans for patients and families; evaluate learning outcomes.
• Participate in on-call rotation, every 3rd weekend, and meetings.
