Job summary

Markent Personnel is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a community hospital in Ohio. The night shift role covers 36 hours weekly with every 3rd weekend rotation, from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.

Eligible candidates will manage ventilators, arterial blood gases, and EKGs, while delivering high-quality patient care across ages. RNLT, detailed experience with cardiopulmonary services and ongoing professional development are valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• NBRC CRT or RRT and Ohio license required.
• Current Ohio license and BLS; ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications.
• NRP certification preferred; 3+ years of experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy across all ages including pediatric and geriatric.
• Set up and monitor ventilators, airway management and suctioning.
• Perform emergency intubation and airway management as needed.
• Manage oxygen delivery methods and monitor for side effects.
• Perform arterial punctures for blood gas analysis and related care.
• Conduct EKGs and report results to physicians per protocol.
• Inspect and operate respiratory equipment; ensure proper function.
• Assess patient status and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Document data in the PCN after services.
• Develop patient/family teaching plans and evaluate learning.
• Participate in on-call rotation and weekend rotations; attend meetings.
