Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital is expanding to better serve the community and seeks skilled Respiratory Therapists. You will work across med/surg, ED and critical care with a focus on patient-centered care and professional growth.

Candidates must have CRT or RRT, Illinois license (active or pending) and BLS; preferred ACLS/NRP/PALS. Night shifts available with excellent benefits and on-site amenities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Active or Pending Illinois Respiratory Care License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to acutely ill patients across units.
• Deliver and adjust therapy per physician orders and patient response.
• Monitor and communicate patient status with the health care team.
• Educate patients/families on respiratory care and disease management.
• Participate in rounds and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Precept students and model professional behavior.
