Job summary

The Memorial Hospital of Gardena in Gardena, CA is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner for the night shift on a per diem basis. The RCP assesses, plans, and delivers respiratory care to patients from neonates to geriatrics in accordance with physician orders and hospital guidelines.

Responsibilities include monitoring oxygen therapy, performing ventilator management, administering medications, drawing blood gases, and ensuring accurate documentation while upholding HIPAA and AIDET

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiovascular Technology.
• RCP licensure in California and current BLS/ACLS/PALS.
• Experience preferred but will train new graduates.

Responsibilities

• Manage artificial airways and document care accurately.
• Perform ventilator weaning and monitor patient condition.
• Administer aerosolized medications and monitor oxygen therapy.
• Conduct spirometry and blood gas sampling.
• Adhere to HIPAA and SBAR communication standards.
• Float to other areas as needed.
