Job summary

InterCommunity, Inc. in Hartford, CT is seeking a Residential Support Specialist to ensure client safety and assist with ADLs across Withdrawal Management, 56 Recovery Programs, and Coventry House.

You will support daily living activities, observe clients, and document care in the electronic health record. Qualifications include an Associates or Bachelors in Human Services or GED, CT CNA/MA Certification, and a Peer Support Certification, with CPR required within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or equivalent.
• Current CT CNA/MA Certification required; Peer Support Certification preferred.
• 3 years of experience in a residential setting preferred.
• Working knowledge of substance use and/or mental health treatment.
• CPR Certification within 60 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety of the therapeutic milieu in the assigned department.
• Performs hourly observations as scheduled.
• Complete admission and discharge paperwork in Epic.
• Ensure client belongings and medications are secured at discharge.
• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Maintain cleanliness of unit and shared spaces.
• Cover open shifts as needed across Withdrawal Management and Recovery Programs.
