Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in social work, psychology, rehabilitation or a related field.
• High School Diploma with related experience considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Associate’s Degree with related work or life experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of working with adults with a serious mental illness.
• Valid New Jersey Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, engage and support adult consumers in a residential setting (transitional, crisis and/or supported housing).
• Provide direct care and assist clients with activities of daily living using direction, modeling and prompting.
• Provide education, prompting and support to client and/or family to resolve crises and promote independence.
• Assist in developing and facilitating service planning to promote independence and community integration.

Skills

Basic understanding of mental illness

Education

Bachelor or Associate degree in social work/psychology/rehabilitation

High School Diploma + related experience

Associate’s Degree + related experience

High School Graduate with experience

Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
