Job summary

CHR Community Health Resources, Inc. is seeking a part-time Residential Aide for the Strickland program in Manchester, CT. The role requires providing 24-hour support through a residential setting with medication monitoring and group-based education.

The candidate will assist with rehab activities, budgeting, hygiene, and everyday living skills while maintaining program standards and documentation. A driver’s license and CPR/First Aid certification are required or obtained within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in Human Services.
• CPR & First Aid Certification required or must obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical environment and program standards per CHR, DMHAS, JCAHO and licensing standards.
• Monitor residents' medications per policy.
• Communicate day’s events to staff using appropriate methods/tools.
• Teach and assist residents in rehab areas: nutrition, healthy living, meal prep, hygiene, laundry, budgeting, basic home skills.
• Assist/manage administrative tasks as directed.
• Prepare and facilitate educational groups and one-to-one interventions as per treatment plan.
• Collaborate with providers and families as needed.
• Assist residents with medical and psychiatric needs.
• Maintain documentation in line with agency standards.
• Participate in staff meetings, supervision, trainings and other meetings.
• Additional duties as required.
