Job summary

McAlester Regional Health Center is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Night Shift Rehab to support patients during overnight hours. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vitals, and collaborate with therapists to promote safe rehabilitation in a calm environment.

Ideal candidates hold an active CNA certification, BLS, and completion of a state-approved nursing assistant program.

Qualifications

• Current and valid CNA certification recognized in the United States.
• Current and valid BLS certification required.
• Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program.
• Basic understanding of patient care principles and infection control standards.
• Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to a dynamic healthcare environment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting during the night shift.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and physical condition, reporting any abnormalities or concerns to the nursing team promptly.
• Support rehabilitation exercises and mobility activities as directed by therapists and nursing staff.
• Ensure patient safety by maintaining a clean and hazard-free environment and responding quickly to patient calls or emergencies.
• Document patient care activities accurately and maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with facility policies.
