You will provide respiratory care, operate ventilators and related equipment, and monitor patient responses. The role includes patient education, charting, and collaboration with physicians.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate prescription and arterial blood gases to determine therapy needs.
• Administer aerosol medications and position patients to aid breathing.
• Set up and operate ventilators and gas delivery equipment for therapy.
• Monitor treatment parameters like volume, gas concentration, humidity, and temp.
• Perform chest physiotherapy to clear mucus and assist breathing.
• Assist in pulmonary function testing for physician diagnosis.
• Provide patient education and support for chronic lung disease.
• Demonstrate procedures to trainees and health care staff.
