Job summary

OhioHealth's Pulmonary Services department is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to administer diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to support patient breathing. You will evaluate appropriateness of therapies and communicate results to the care team; may serve as charge therapist in supervisor's absence.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent.
• NBRC certification and CPR certification required.
• Ohio license or Ohio Limited Permit; state registration.
• 1 year of clinical respiratory care experience.

Responsibilities

• Administers MDI, nebulization, ventilation and oxygen therapy per physician orders.
• Prepares and transports equipment, explains procedures to patients, and documents data.
• Monitors patients during treatment and notifies care team of adverse reactions.
• Responds to emergencies and assists with patient transport when needed.
