LCMC Health is seeking a licensed Respiratory Therapist to join West Jefferson Medical Center on the night shift. You’ll manage ventilators, assist with airway management, and respond to high-acuity events, providing patient-centered care with a focus on safety and communication.

You’ll collaborate with a skilled team, educate patients and families, and uphold infection control standards while delivering a range of therapies and procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Respiratory Therapist in Louisiana is required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC) is preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR (AHA) certification is required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications are required.
• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail are essential.
• Ability to prioritize in fast-paced environments is essential.
• Compassionate, patient-first mindset and teamwork are essential.
• Clear, confident communication with the care team is expected.

Responsabilités

• Manage ventilators and adjust settings based on patient needs
• Perform arterial punctures and assist with airway management
• Support high-acuity situations like Code III responses
• Assist with bronchoscopies and intubations
• Deliver therapies (oxygen, aerosol, CPT, IPPB, incentive spirometry, and more)
• Monitor equipment and ensure safe, effective operation
• Educate patients and families so they feel informed and empowered
• Maintain strict infection control and safety standards
• Collaborate with a team that values your insight and expertise
