Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
• Current Oklahoma and national licensure as Respiratory Therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of oxygen delivery methods and equipment.
• Administers respiratory therapy and nebulized medications with attention to side effects.
• Sets up and monitors mechanical ventilators and critical care duties.
• Performs arterial blood gas sampling and analysis.
• Documents data in patient records after services.
• Analyzes chest X-rays and sputum specimens.
• Adapt care for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Maintains equipment safety and cleanliness; ensures proper operation.
• Educates patients and families about cardiopulmonary health.
