Qualifications

• Current CA Registered Nurse License.
• ADN (G70AH / G70AK) or BSN (G70AZ / G70AD) required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; must be maintained.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; professionals-having relationships.
• Active listening skills.
• Compassionate, non-judgmental caregiver and advocate.
• Able to independently manage multiple priorities.
• Must comply with Respiratory Fit Testing Protection Policy.
• Must complete EKG test within 60 days of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Maintain chemotherapy competency for unit.
• Assess patient needs and interpret information accordingly.
• Demonstrate developmentally appropriate care across ages.
• Document comprehensive daily assessments per policy.
• Utilize interprofessional communication for complex discharge planning.
• Support discharge planning and ensure goals are met before leaving the unit.
