Job summary

Northwestern Memorial Healthcare's Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical/Surgical Intermediate unit. This part-time night shift runs 7pm–7:30am with rotating weekends, in a fast-paced 26-bed environment.

The RN provides direct patient care using the nursing process, collects data, plans, implements and evaluates care, collaborates with physicians, families and the health team, and ensures ANA standards are followed.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse licensure.
• ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of employment.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data and outcomes; develops and implements an individualized plan of care.
• Directs care and utilizes assistants as needed.
• Collaborates with patients, families, physicians, and staff; documents plans and communications.
• Participates in governance and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses and updates care plans based on findings.
• Adheres to ANA standards of professional nursing practice.
