You will assess and plan care, coordinate with physicians and the care team, educate patients and families, and contribute to quality and safety initiatives.

RN licensure and BLS required; weekend and shift rotation apply. This on-site role offers collaboration with a Magnet-certified network and opportunities to advance

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Nursing program.
• Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice.
• Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care.
• Successful completion of additional orientation programs related to specialty.
• Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies.
• Basic computer skills.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
• RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care for designated patients. Collaboration with physicians, interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Demonstrates commitment to quality and safety, participates in evidence-based practice and research as applicable.
• Uses effective communication with patients, families, staff and professionals.
• Coordinates and provides patient and family education throughout treatment to facilitate transition of care.
• Functions as a department team member to support unit and hospital goals; participates in performance improvement.
• Performs validated technical skills based on clinical specialty and unit practice.
• Utilizes technology to optimize alternative modes of care delivery.
• Demonstrates leadership and mentoring; precepts as assigned; may participate in performance evaluations.
