Job summary

Beaumont Care Homes Limited seeks a Registered Nurse for night duty to lead the care team and ensure delivery of excellent, dignified, person-centred care in a home setting.

Rate of pay depends on experience, with newly qualified nurses starting around £18.82 per hour and rising to £19.82 after one year. You will oversee medicines, care plans, and monitor quality through inspections and governance processes.

Qualifications

• NMC Registered Nurse status and active registration.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency with IT and care-related systems used on shift.

• Ability to lead a team and motivate staff under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and oversee high standards of person-centred care and assess residents' needs.
• Champion independence and personal choice; update care plans accordingly.
• Oversee medicine management on shift following policy and legislation.
• Build the service's positive reputation and communicate warmly with visitors.
• Ensure resident experience is positive from admission to discharge.
• Engage in inspections and ensure readiness for external review bodies.
• Ensure compliance with legal and best practice guidelines with risk management.
• Maintain rigorous documentation of resident care and staff activities.
• Foster a cohesive team approach and support staff delivery of care.
• Promote an atmosphere connecting staff with residents, host home, and organisation.
• Support Home Manager to achieve host home targets and improve standards.
• Model high standards of nursing care and supervise staff effectively.
• Participate in all aspects of resident care and provide mentorship.
• Adhere to the NMC Code and engage in ongoing professional development.
