Job summary

Valley Manor Care Center, part of Volunteers of America National Services, seeks a Registered Nurse for night shift leadership in Montrose, CO. You will oversee care on the unit, coordinate team activities, and ensure accurate charting and timely patient care.

Competitive hourly pay with a $2.25 evening/night differential, full-time and part-time openings, and comprehensive benefits through VOA. Nursing license in CO and CPR certification required, prior long-term care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current licensure in the state of Colorado as a Registered Nurse.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Maintenance of required CEU’s.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.
• Demonstrates leadership ability.
• Effective communicator with staff, families and outside agencies.
• Ability to prioritize duties and manage multiple tasks.
• Customer service oriented with knowledge of successful customer service techniques.
• Clinical competence to assess residents and provide nursing care.
• Proficient with computers and timekeeping/documentation tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and direction on assigned unit and coordinates shift activities.
• Make rounds to observe residents and assess status; assign personnel to meet resident needs.
• Maintain charting and documentation; ensure timely, accurate records.
• Administer medications and treatments per MD orders; monitor resident response.
• Communicate with resident representatives and families; escalate concerns as needed.
• Participate in meetings and continuous quality improvement activities.
