Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate nursing care, provide direct patient care, educate patients and families, and support transitions of care. The RN will work within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model and may mentor others while participating in quality improvement initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Nursing, current RN license, and flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a baccalaureate nursing program.
• One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of LPN experience at Mayo Clinic is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Computer skills required; prior experience with EMR systems preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours (days/evenings/nights/holidays/weekends) and on-call.
• Demonstrated leadership, effective communication, and strong critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• The RN coordinates nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care.
• The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and the continuum of care.
• The RN leads through preceptor, leadership roles, and quality improvement activities.
