Job summary

HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the 5 Central Medical/Surgical/Stroke Unit. You will collaborate with physicians and the care team, follow established nursing models, and advocate for patients and families to ensure outstanding outcomes.

The role requires ADN or higher, active RN license in Florida or compact license, BLS, and at least 6 months of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: ADN or higher.
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
• Current BLS Health Care Provider certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• At least 6 months experience as a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition on admission and each shift, reporting changes.
• Administer medications and monitor responses; document care.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures.
