Job summary

UofL Health is hiring a Hospital-Based Registered Nurse to deliver patient-centered care across age groups in a busy Louisville facility. You will administer meds, perform nursing assessments, and participate in care planning with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes.

Under supervision, you’ll coordinate with the care team, ensure safety standards, and support new staff and students. Shift: Nights, 7P-7A, in Kentucky.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• Current KY RN licensure or compact license is required.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS/PALS may be required for specific areas.
• New RN graduates participate in Nurse Residency program.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients across age groups using the nursing process and standards.
• Administer medications per licensure, monitor effects, and document promptly.
• Develop age-appropriate plans with the care team and educate patients and families.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, patient-centered outcomes.
• Support unit leadership and mentor students or new staff as needed.

Education

Associate’s Degree in Nursing

BSN (preferred) or willingness to pursue within 3 years
