Job summary

OhioHealth in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide general nursing care to patients and families across acute care settings. The RN is accountable under the Ohio Board of Nursing and will supervise LPNs and UAPs per the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.

This role involves 24/7/365 coverage with night shift hours and a 36-hour scheduled week in Medical Unit 3. Candidates must hold an Ohio RN license, BLS certification, and BSN is required after 5 years of employment.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or current Registered Nurse license in good standing with a multi-state compact state.
• BLS certification.
• BSN required at 5 years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients.
• Perform initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments.
• Document planned nursing interventions to meet patient needs.
• Evaluate patient responses and revise care plans with the multidisciplinary team.
• Lead process improvement activities to improve clinical quality and efficiency.
• Maintain focus on safety and quality as part of a High Reliability Organization (HRO).
