Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Professional Staff Nurse on the night shift to join the care delivery team. The RN will provide patient care, set standards for quality, and collaborate with physicians and staff to achieve patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes leadership, partnership, and supervision across the unit, delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. The position is full-time, 36 hours per week with a night shift (7pm–7am).

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state where practicing.
• Demonstrates leadership, collaboration and supervision within care teams.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains productive working relationships with colleagues and patients.
• Delivers patient care using independent judgment and teamwork to achieve outcomes.
• Applies nursing process within Relationship Based Care to create a healing environment.
• Participates in unit-based governance and quality improvement efforts.
• Provides teaching to patients, families, and staff to support care and transitions.
