Job summary

Backus Hospital is seeking Resource Center RNs to join the Float Pool, providing nursing coverage for all patient populations at Connecticut’s Backus Hospital. The role emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, and delivering compassionate care in a high-demand environment.

The position requires graduation from a nursing program, CT RN licensure, and current BLS; ACLS is required for the Critical Care track. Nursing staff are supported with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing.
• One (1) year recent acute RN experience.
• Current unrestricted State of CT Registered Nurse license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification for Critical Care track.
• Ability to obtain and maintain department specific certifications.

Responsibilities

• Resource Center RNs are specially trained to care for all patient populations and serve as the Float Pool for Backus Hospital.
• Deliver high quality nursing care, collaborate with team, and support families and patients.
