Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a registered nurse to provide high‑quality, patient‑centered care at Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, PA. You will collaborate with a diverse health care team, perform comprehensive assessments and implement evidence‑based practices across the nursing process.

This role requires a BSN, PA RN licensure, and completion of a Nurse Residency or equivalent experience. The position is full‑time, nights, with weekend rotation, and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required (PA)
• BSN or higher nursing degree required
• Completion of Nurse Residency or 15+ months of practice
• CPR Certification (AHA BLS) required within 30 days of hire
• Good standing with Medicare/Medicaid and other programs

Responsibilities

• Incorporate Lancaster General Health mission, vision and values into patient care planning.
• Act as an independent and interdependent member of the health care team.
• Perform patient assessments across physiological, psychological and cognitive functions.
• Evaluate progress and adapt care plans based on trends.
• Coordinate patient care across disciplines and caregivers.
• Educate patients about healthy practices and treatment modalities.
• Demonstrate safety, quality improvement and teamwork principles.
• Oversee and supervise other staff as needed.
