Provide comprehensive nursing care within a correctional setting, including assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation, with duties spanning 24-hour care, telemedicine, chronic care, and triage. VA license and BLS required, with potential for diverse assignment coverage.

Qualifications

• Possess and maintain valid unrestricted Virginia RN license.
• Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers is required upon hire.
• Experience in a correctional setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within adult institutions using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Deliver 24-hour nursing care, telemedicine, chronic care clinics, triage, medication administration, and patient education.
• Ensure documentation in health records and coordinate with other departments as needed.
