Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• One year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current ACLS certification required.
• BLS required.
• RN license in state of employment or compact.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients/families as appropriate.
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol; monitors side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, families, and/or caregivers.

Education

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred
