Job summary

The Registered Nurse in CoxHealth South’s 8E Observation Unit provides nursing care for patients needing monitoring after medical or surgical procedures. You will assess conditions, administer medications, monitor vitals, and document care to determine discharge or inpatient needs.

Responsibilities include patient and family education, teamwork with ED and inpatient staff, and delivering high-quality, goal-directed care in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program.
• BSN preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications and change dressings.
• Provide patient and family education and support.
• Coordinate care with ED, inpatient wards, and outpatient services.
