Job summary

The Maryland School for the Deaf in Frederick, MD seeks an RCYCP Supervisor to mentor and guide deaf and hard-of-hearing students in a residential setting. This 11-month position supports daily life skills and coordination with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Eight years of experience, four years guiding deaf and hard of hearing youth in a residential setting.
• One year of supervisory experience.
• An additional four years of experience in a residential program.
• Fluency in American Sign Language is required.

Responsibilities

• Create staff work schedules, including substitutes, and plan for events.
• Review timesheets, approve overtime, and coordinate field trips and transportation.
• Serve as liaison with parents/guardians and coordinate with specialists on students' needs.
• Conduct building inspections, manage inventory, and document training for staff development.
• Lead emergency/crisis responses and provide interim medical/other assistance as needed.
