Qualifikationen

• Completion of a CoARC approved respiratory care program.
• One year Neo-Peds Critical Care facility experience (including time in the Respiratory Care Residency Program).
• NICU LVL 3 and Pediatric Trauma LVL 1 experience.
• Three (3+) year experience as an RCP in Adult Critical Care.

Aufgaben

• Assist with orientation and training of Level I and Level II therapists and students.
• Perform intra-hospital transports with mechanical ventilators and/or airway protection and assure safe operation of devices in the MRI scanner.
• Competent in delivery of Nitric Oxide, Nitrogen, Heliox, and other specialty gases.
• Initiate and maintain pulmonary vasodilators.
• Evaluate appropriateness of medical orders.
• Participate in clinical rounds with physicians, nurses and other health care providers.
• Respond to consults in the emergency department.
• Provide education for patients/families and other members of the health care team.
• Interpret data and respond to optimize clinical objectives for patients.
• Respond to emergencies as part of the code/rapid response team.
