Job summary

Bi-State Development is seeking a Signal Electrician for MetroLink operations in the Swansea-3rd area. The role is full-time with an hourly wage of 35.19.

Responsibilities include installing, inspecting, maintaining, and diagnosing wayside signaling and train control equipment, including interlocking signals, track circuits, relays, and grade crossing systems. The position requires extensive knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems, mechanical systems, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience as a fully qualified electrician or signal man in railroad or transit environments.
• Ability to pass mechanical, high voltage electrical and electronic aptitude exams and read plans/schematics.
• Ability to work safely and independently while following safety/rules procedures.
• Must meet DOT physical and certification requirements; possess a Class A CDL with endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Installs, inspects, maintains, repairs and provides diagnostic analysis on wayside signaling and train control equipment (signals, track circuits, relays, grade crossing systems).
• Responds to service calls 24/7 to diagnose and fix MetroLink electrical issues.
• Operates vehicles and equipment used for maintenance of MetroLink electrical systems.
