Job summary

Bi-State Development in Saint Louis, Missouri, seeks a Signal Electrician MetroLink to inspect, troubleshoot, maintain and repair wayside signal and train control systems for the Swansea area. The role requires extensive electrical expertise for AC/DC systems and rail infrastructure, with readiness to respond to emergencies around the clock.

You will work with interlocking signals, grade crossing warning equipment, cables, relays, and power distribution, ensuring safe operations at MetroLink

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a fully qualified electrician or signal person in rail/transit.
• Ability to pass mechanical, high voltage electrical and electronic aptitude tests.
• Ability to operate safely under rules and regulations with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, repair, and diagnose wayside signaling and train control equipment.
• Respond to service calls 24/7 to fix MetroLink electrical issues.
• Operate vehicles/equipment for maintenance on and off rail.
• Assist in activation/deactivation of signal, train control and traction power systems during emergencies.
• Maintain and repair traction power and electrical support systems at MetroLink stations and along routes.
• Trim vegetation around electrical equipment on MetroLink property.
