Job summary

P&K Stone, LLC seeks a skilled quarry operations leader to oversee backshift production and maintenance at Chico 1 and Chico 2 quarries. You will guide daily production, manage equipment, and drive safety and performance in a multi-plant setting.

Responsibilities include organizing plant schedules, leading a team, ensuring quality control, and maintaining compliance with MSHA and company policies. This role reports to plant management and supports operational targets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing mid-to-large quarries in high-paced production.
• Provide strong leadership and mentorship to employees.
• Knowledge of rock mining, MSHA regulations, and quality control systems.
• Experience maintaining crushers, screens, washers, and conveyors.
• Strong interpersonal skills; able to motivate and communicate with teams.
• Experience leading financial performance to targets.
• Working conditions in a quarry; outdoors in all weather; loud work env.
• Strong track record of safety, health and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Word).
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety and ensure zero accidents across plants.
• Organize and plan daily production scheduling for optimal utilization.
• Lead and develop plant employees; collaborate with HR for staffing and performance.
• Monitor production quality and implement preventive maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational policies.
• Inspect and supervise equipment maintenance to maximize uptime.
