Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a capable Plant/Operations Manager to oversee backshift production and maintenance across Chico 1 and Chico 2 quarries. You will organize daily operations, coordinate with HR on staffing, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time production targets are met.

You will lead a cross-functional team in a high-paced environment, monitor equipment and processes, and implement preventive maintenance to minimize downtime while adhering to MSHA and safety standards.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years managing mid-to-large quarries in high-paced production.
• Strong leadership and mentorship abilities, able to motivate and manage teams.
• Knowledge of rock mining, MSHA regulations, and quality control processes.
• Mechanically oriented with experience maintaining crushers, screens, washers, and conveyors.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience leading financial performance toward targets and metrics.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather and tolerate high noise levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).
• High school diploma or GED is required.
