Job summary

Atlas Tube at Zekelman Industries in Chicago, IL is seeking a Quality Technician to support product quality on the designated shift through testing, inspection, and quality monitoring activities.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will oversee ultrasonic testing processes, manage non-conforming material, and audit inspection functions while maintaining high manufacturing standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; comfortable with basic computer tools and MS Office.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, procedures, and manuals.
• Willingness to work an industrial night shift and extend hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collect samples from mill areas for testing and evaluation.
• Prepare samples for required mechanical and quality testing.
• Operate and maintain testing lab equipment and machinery.
• Enter mechanical testing results into SAP accurately.
• Communicate quality and departmental issues to the Quality Supervisor.
• Support housekeeping and organization of the work area.
