Quality Correctional Care (QCC) seeks a dedicated Quality Medical Technician (QMT) for the LaPorte County Jail. This night shift position runs 6 PM–6 AM, 3 days per week with alternating weekends, delivering medication administration, sick-call support, and emergency response within a correctional facility.

The role requires CPR certification and at least 6 months in the medical field; EMT/QMA/CMA certifications are highly preferred.

Formación

• Active CPR certification.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in the medical field.
• EMT, QMA, or CMA certification highly preferred.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to push, pull, reach, and bend frequently.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsabilidades

• Medication administration
• Assisting in sick call using medical protocols
• Communicating with the facility or on-call Medical Provider
• Respond to medical emergencies
• Be capable of performing life saving measures and ability to take charge and give direction in an emergency.
• Collect laboratory specimens, as needed
• Follow the “Rules of 100” and provide patient care as specified
• Maintain accurateand up-to-dateinformation in patient charts
