Job summary

Quality Correctional Care (QCC) is seeking a Quality Medical Technician (QMT) to support care at the Wabash County Jail. The role involves medication administration, vital sign assessment, and collaboration with medical staff to follow protocols and respond to emergencies.

This on-site position requires EMT/QMA/CMA certifications and a minimum of 6 months in a medical setting. Competitive benefits and shift rotations are provided.

Qualifications

• Active CPR certification is required.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in the medical field.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Medication administration.
• Obtaining vital signs.
• Assisting in sick calls using medical protocols.
• Communicating with the facility or on-call Medical Provider.
• Responding to medical emergencies.
• Be capable of performing life-saving measures and lead during emergencies.
• Collect laboratory specimens, as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in patient charts.
