Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Quality Technician to support 3rd shift manufacturing. You will perform testing, inspections, and documentation to ensure products meet food safety standards and customer specs within SQF and GMP frameworks.

You will partner with production, decide on product quarantines, handle COA/COC prep, maintain records, and generate reports for internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in testing results.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and unit conversions.
• Ability to read and interpret measurements using a tape measure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel and Word.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; teamwork oriented.
• Analytical thinker capable of learning new procedures quickly.

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with production teams to identify and address quality issues.
• Make informed decisions regarding product quarantine based on customer requirements, production capabilities, and defect severity.
• Inspect customer complaints and returns to determine appropriate disposition.
• Perform laboratory testing such as COF, tensile, bond strength, and tear testing.
• Prepare data reports, charts, and graphs for internal and external customers.
• Maintain complete and accurate quality records for all testing performed.
• Prepare Certificates of Analysis (COA) and Certificates of Conformance (COC).
• Trend and evaluate testing results to recommend improvements and report out-of-spec conditions.
• Support machine operators with quality questions, raw material issues, and testing needs.
