Shearer’s Foods is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for the 3rd shift (11pm–7am) to uphold quality across analytical, microbiological, and sensory checks. The role includes ensuring equipment calibration and regulatory compliance, and partnering with production to maintain SQF and GMP standards.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in QA in food manufacturing, strong math and computer skills, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Experience – 2+ years in QA in food & beverage manufacturing.
• Attendance is essential for this skilled QA role.
• Safety mindset to create a safe and healthy workplace.
• Read, understand and communicate with team members.
• Ability to perform simple math, conversions, and compute run rates.
• QA lead by example; be honest, dependable and follow procedures.
• Ability to apply common sense and follow written or oral instructions.
• Basic computer skills required to operate production systems.
• Follow standard work instructions with good time management.
• Must be available for pre-shift meetings and overtime when needed.
• Physically able to stand, reach, lift up to 50+ pounds and work up to 12 hours; vision requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing and ensure equipment is calibrated and running.
• Monitor facility for compliance with SQF, GMPs, labeling, and food safety.
• Communicate quality results with production team and implement checks.
• Support training and audits as needed.
