Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Quality Engineer Night Shift for the Manufacturing and Technology team, based in Columbus, Ohio. The Quality Engineer will report to the Quality Management System (QMS) Manager at project site.

The role requires a bachelor's degree and 5–12 years of relevant experience, with advanced communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Power BI for data analysis and reporting.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5–8 years of relevant experience.
• Must have the right to work in the US.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in the use of PC computers, Microsoft software and database administration.

Responsibilities

• Manage quality activities at project site on night shift.
• Coordinate audits, surveillances, and monitoring to verify QA program effectiveness.
• Handle NCRs/CORs, third‑party inspections, and CRs/BQRs in CLCA/Unifier/BIM360.
• Perform in‑progress quality checks on site.
• Communicate with project functions to meet goals.
• Recommend corrective actions to the QMS Manager.
• Identify problems, document actions, verify solutions.
• Maintain client communication on project quality activities.
• Prepare reports on QA program effectiveness.
• Lead and coordinate with India project team for supplier qualification surveys and evaluative reviews.
• Review proposals, supplier quality programs, and conduct source inspections.
