Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Quality Technician III to audit product quality against specifications, review production data, test incoming materials, and quarantine suspect product. This role supports Q1 Technicians and reports to the Quality/Production Control Manager.

The position emphasizes hands-on inspection, use of precision gauging tools, and cross-functional teamwork. 3rd shift considerations and the ability to lift up to 20 lbs are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years in a manufacturing environment with quality experience preferred.
• Automotive Tier one TS 16949 experience is a plus.
• Practical application of Lean Manufacturing principles is also a plus.
• Be able to stand, walk, bend & twist for up to 8 hours and able to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Must be able to work independently (self-directed).
• Proven experience in managing multiple tasks.
• Proven experience as a member in a cross-functional team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform First Piece and In-Process inspections.
• Perform receiving inspection including testing of Raw Material.
• Maintain customer check fixtures/gauges and keep clean.
• Support calibration cycles on all affected test equipment.
• Lead in Variable and Attribute Gauge Studies.
• Communicate quality concerns to Supervisors and Quality Manager.
• Place Suspect and non-conforming Product On-Hold and assist with disposition.
• Ensure Suspect Product is segregated from Good Product in MRB.
• Audit process documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with interpretation of quality specs and product requirements.
• Complete and maintain required Quality documentation/reports.
• Other duties as assigned.
