Job summary

Utz Quality Foods in Kings Mountain, NC is seeking a Sanitation Technician to maintain food safety and quality in our manufacturing facility. You will clean and sanitize all areas, operate cleaning equipment, and ensure compliance with USDA and FDA regulations.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and commitment to food safety.
• Reliable team member who can work independently.
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to wear PPE and follow safety procedures.
• Experience in USDA-regulated facilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Master Sanitation Schedule to clean and sanitize all areas of the plant.
• Operate powered cleaning equipment to maintain a spotless facility and equipment.
• Safely disassemble and reassemble equipment for sanitation.
• Operate equipment such as floor jacks, trash compactors, and vacuum cleaners safely.
• Respond quickly to spills or contamination risks to keep the facility in top condition.
• Contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives, including 5S.
