Job summary

PLZ Corp is seeking a production associate to operate on the evening shift (Mon-Thu, 5:00pm-3:30am) across manufacturing lines. You will read work orders, decipher production codes, and ensure line clearance and accurate changeovers while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

You will perform hourly line checks, weigh and test products, enter data into the SPC system, and complete SAP transactions (LS24, MIGO, MMBE).

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret work orders and follow instructions precisely.
• Good data entry and record keeping skills.
• Experience with SAP transactions and quality checks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read the entire work order and follow all instructions needed for product being run.
• Read and decipher codes for production, based upon Page 2 notes
• Ensure line clearance and first check during change-over.
• Verify Changeover/Startup paperwork is complete and accurate.
• Complete all required line checks, typically hourly.
• Monitor weights, crimps, testing, codes, and overall product quality.
• Enter and verify data in SPC database as required.
• Ensure product meets quality and food safety specs.
• Check pallet patterns, codes, and document any defects.
• Perform SAP transactions LS24, MIGO, and MMBE as required.
• Turn in completed work order packets and samples.
• Collaborate with operations to eliminate defects through root cause.
• Follow escalation process for issues.
• Put product on hold when needed and issue nonconformance emails.
• Calibrate gauges and weighers as required.
• Perform weekly MSA checks.
• Adhere to GMPs and report food safety or quality concerns.
• Use any extra time to assist on the line.
