Job summary

UCHealth CeDAR in Aurora, CO is seeking a Registered Nurse for an onsite PRN night shift. Provides direct psychiatric nursing care in a behavioral health setting, following standards and policies to ensure patient safety and desired outcomes. Requires state RN license and CPR/BLS clearance.

The role demands the ability to respond to emergencies, think critically, and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality patient care within the team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved RN program.
• State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• 6 months of nursing (RN) experience.
• BLS through AHA or Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer; valid through 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Initiates corrective action when patient presentation shows adverse symptoms.
• Responds to patient care situations using nursing standards and treatment protocols.
• Provides psychiatric nursing to a complex behavioral health population.
• Handles high-stress situations with decisiveness and composure.
• Work within scope with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
