Job summary

Lake Behavioral Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse Manager (RN) to assist the DON in directing nursing staff, shaping policies, and maintaining high standards of patient care. The role emphasizes leadership, regulatory compliance, and ongoing evaluation of nursing services within a 161-bed facility in Illinois.

Responsibilities include supervising 24-hour nursing coverage, participating in hiring, and conducting regular rounds.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychiatric nursing or related field preferred.
• At least 3 years experience in nursing management in psychiatric nursing preferred.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, and OSHA regulations preferred.
• CPR and CPI certified.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in directing activities of licensed and non-licensed nursing staff.
• Develop, implement, and revise Nursing Services policies and procedures.
• Review progress, quality, and effectiveness of nursing services.
• Conduct nursing rounds on all units several times a day.
• Assist in hiring processes and staff development.
