Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse license as required by state employment.
• One year of nursing experience; psychiatric/behavioral experience a plus.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients' physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and families about conditions.
• Provide nursing care per state and facility policies and procedures.
• Ensure orders are legible and accurately transcribed.
• Assess patient status continuously and document findings.
• Notify physicians of significant changes in status.
• Complete admission and discharge processing accurately.
• Maintain therapeutic rapport while upholding professional boundaries.
• Coordinate unit activities as directed.
• Communicate professionally with patients, visitors, and staff.
