Job summary

Mercy is seeking a part-time night Registered Nurse for our Behavioral Health unit at Mercy Jefferson. This RN provides compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care for adults and adolescents, performing assessments, administering medications, and coordinating care plans. You will collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and support staff to maintain a safe, trauma-informed environment while delivering patient-centered care and supporting ongoing education and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Experience in behavioral health settings is advantageous.
• Ability to perform comprehensive assessments and maintain safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
• Perform suicide and risk screening.
• De-escalate crises and employ trauma-informed care.
• Coordinate individualized care plans with interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and support staff to ensure safe, therapeutic environment.
