Job summary

Summit Oaks Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the 7pm–7am shift, three days per week (36 hours). This private acute care hospital offers a sign‑on bonus of $12,000 and opportunities to cover various shifts and overtime.

Requirements include NJ RN licensure, BSN preferred, and psychiatric nursing experience or strong medical/surgical background with leadership. Comprehensive benefits and career development are provided by UHS.

Qualifications

• Current New Jersey RN licensure; BSN/BS preferred.
• Minimum one year of psychiatric nursing experience, or two years of medical/surgical with leadership, strong clinical skills and motivation.
• NLN accredited program preferred.
• ANA Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing certification preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and respond to medical needs of patients under physicians’ guidance.
• Conduct safety checks and implement behavioral management techniques.
• Monitor, report, and document patient behaviors and well‑being.
• Administer medications and treatments as needed under the treatment team guidance.
• Maintain the core values and mission of Summit Oaks Hospital.
