Job summary

CoxHealth’s Cox North facility in Springfield, MO is seeking a psychiatric unit nurse to care for patients with behavioral health illnesses in an acute care setting. The nurse will conduct intake interviews, assess patients, and establish a plan of care while maintaining a safe therapeutic environment.

The role requires RN licensure in Missouri, with preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and strong communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills. Experience in psychiatry is a plus.

Qualifications

• Required: RN license active in Missouri
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program

Responsibilities

• Care for patients with behavioral health illnesses in an acute care setting.
• Conduct intake interviews and assess patients to establish a plan of care.
